The Peter Gilmour Memorial Trophy is awarded to the best butterfly swim relative to the current records.

(in accordance with clause B3(c) of the MSNSW Consolidated Rules of Competition)

Peter Gilmour set the first world record for the Ryde club in the 200m Butterfly at the State Championships at Blacktown in 1993 and after achieving five masters world butterfly records, Peter received the first Australian Masters Athlete of the Year Award in 1997.
