Information
- The Coaching Weekend is designed to develop your knowledge and skills as a Masters Coach.
- The workshop will include coaching all strokes, annual programming, dryland training and injury management, underwater filming.
- Cost: $30 for one day and $50 for both days. Lunch, Morning and Afternoon Tea are included with drinks following Saturday’s session. Incredible value! EFT payment to Masters Swimming NSW BSB: 012 129 A/C #: 1979 94001 (please include reference Coach weekend and surname)
- Centrally located to public transport – St James and Town Hall.
- Most sessions are a combination of theory and practical (either observing on pool deck or in the water as we will need some volunteers). Each session will be delivered by an experienced Masters Coach some of whom have been awarded MSA Coach of the year.
- 2 points will go to your MSA Club Coach re-accreditation.
- Dress code for Tattersalls is smart casual, bring your swimmers and pool equipment if you are able to participate in demonstrations.
Presenters
- Anne Smyth is MSNSW Branch Coaching Director, a member of MSA Coaching Committee, Head Coach of Tuggeranong Masters and was NSW and National Coach of the Year in 2014.
- Greg Gourley is a member of the MSNSW Coaching Team and the MSA Coaching Committee, Coach of Tuggeranong Masters and was NSW and National Coach of the Year in 2019 and 2020.
- Peter McGee is part of the MSNSW Coaching Team and is an active member of Wett Ones.
- Mitch Patterson is an Australia Representative and Commonwealth Games swimmer in Butterfly. He is part of the Effortless Swimming Coaching Team.
- Greg Lewin is a member of the MSNSW Coaching Team and is Head Coach at Ryde. Greg was NSW and National Coach of the Year in 2018.
- Andrew McCrindell is a member of Ryde Masters and part of the coaching team.
- Aaron Cleland is Head Coach at Blacktown Masters and a Breaststroke specialist.
- Gary Odewahn’s career as a Soft Tissue Therapist and Performance Enhancement Specialist has led him to working with athletes in a wide range of sports including Swimming with all achieving either top 10 national rankings or an international ranking. Gary was a former National competitive swimmer and is a Level 1 swimming coach and former Masters swim coach.
